Architect
Steven Gaetano selected Autoclaved Aerated Concrete
block and direct applied stucco finishes for the renovation
of an apartment complex located at 2057 Frederick Douglas
Boulevard in Harlem, NY. AACS Inc. provided the materials
and technical expertise required for this unique and
challenging project. The tremendous workability of Autoclaved
Aerated Concrete as well as its ease of installation
allowed for the economical construction of a new curved
building facade. This project marks the first time Autoclaved
Aerated Concrete has been used in the City of New York.
